MT2 – 10mg
MT2 or Melanotan II is a synthetic chemical that is similar to the melanocyte-stimulating hormone that is found in humans. It is an analog of the a-MSH or the alpha-melanocyte stimulating hormone produced by the pituitary gland.
Studies around MT2 prove that it can be helpful for men who are suffering from erectile dysfunction. Research on this substance was started in the early 1960s. When used on rats, it is known to stimulate sexual arousal. This particular research was licensed by Competitive Technologies of the University of Arizona to Palatin Technologies. However, the two entities were later involved in a breach of contract suit when Palatin Technologies used a derivative of the substance in their research instead. Competitive Technologies sued Palatin Technologies for breach of contract, causing the latter to return the rights to the former and pay for the damages.
In a parallel study, it was discovered that MT2 can possibly bring out a tan, thereby making it an ideal sunless tanning agent. This area of research was licensed by Competitive Technologies to another entity, Epitan, which is an Australian start-up company that became later known as Clinuvel.

The many research studies around MT2 show that it is useful in producing erections among men with erectile dysfunction. In the same way, it is believed it is also useful in women who are having problems with their sexual functions. MT2 is normally injected under the skin to create the effect.
The study that shows MT2 being used as a tanning agent has gained popularity as well. This is why those who use it for the purpose of augmenting sexual functions also get a nice tan on their skin. However, what it has insufficient evidence for is the theory that it may also prevent skin cancer.
Although MT2 is known for these benefits, it is not intended for human consumption. The laboratory testing done with this substance were obtained from animal subjects only, which suggests that it has not been proven to work in the same way on humans.
How MT2 Works
MT2 works as a non-selective agonist of MC1, MC3, MC4, and MC5, which are all melanocortin receptors. MT2 produces melanogenesis by activating one or more of those receptors to create the sexual effects that it is believed to produce.
MT2 is regarded to be generally safe but there are certain side effects that have to be noted such as nausea, decreased appetite, stomach cramps, flushing, and tiredness. Some individuals report having blurry vision and eye problems associated with it. It may also cause spontaneous erections when used without medical supervision. But although considered safe and is highly researched, the use of MT2 is not yet approved by the FDA. It can be used for clinical testing and research only.
